HER STORY
Katie understands what it means to train for performance, health, confidence, and longevity because fitness has been part of her life from the beginning.
Katie was a decorated swimmer from youth through high school and continues to train and compete today, whether she is preparing for a run or a triathlon. Her lifelong athletic background gives her a deep respect for smart training, consistency, and long-term progress.
In college, Katie developed an appreciation for running and was introduced to group fitness. Over the past two decades, she has taught group fitness classes, earned her personal training certification, and helped people build strength in a supportive environment.
Before opening Functional Fitness Training, Katie worked in finance and accounting, including leadership roles, and helped other fitness businesses with accounting and forecasting. That background shapes the way she leads: organized, practical, detail-driven, and focused on what actually helps people improve.
